Our classes are all about process over perfection; where kids are free to explore, make mistakes, and express themselves. Filled with sculpture, collage, painting, printmaking and more. There’s no pressure. Just joyful art-making, playful exploration, and confidence-building.

At Smudge, we do things a little differently, and joyfully so! Our classes are grounded in process art, focusing on the making, not the final masterpiece.
These sessions are designed as drop-off classes; a lovely way for kids to build confidence and independence. That said, we completely understand some children may feel more comfortable with a grown-up nearby. We have comfy couches inside and a courtyard.
Pack a water bottle, some mess-friendly clothes, and a bag to carry home all the wonderful, paint-splattered creations.
Yes, siblings are absolutely welcome. We have a lovely courtyard space where you’re welcome to stay and play with younger ones while class is running.
Families with self- or plan-managed NDIS plans often use their funding to attend our After School Creators classes.
There’s one-hour free street parking on Union Road and Montrose Street. For a stress-free option, the Coles Local undercover car park (entry via Montrose Street) has two-hour free parking and is just a short walk away.
